Abstract

The aim of the study was to study cognitive impairments and quality of life in patients with diabetic polyneuropathy with type 2 diabetes mellitus. 137 patients were examined, divided into three groups depending on the presence of diabetic polyneuropathy and the severity of psycho-organic changes. It has been established that the progression of diabetic polyneuropathy is accompanied by a deterioration in cognitive functions and a decrease in quality of life. The most pronounced changes were found in patients with severe psycho-organic disorders.
