HOW TO MOTIVATE STUDENTS TO LEARN ENGLISH

Abstract

Motivation is one of the most important factors in successful English language learning. Even when students have access to good textbooks, modern technologies, and qualified teachers, they may not achieve good results if they are not motivated to learn. This article examines effective ways of increasing students’ motivation in English language classes. It focuses on creating a positive classroom environment, using interactive activities, connecting English with students’ everyday lives, setting achievable goals, using technology appropriately, and providing constructive feedback. The article also emphasizes the important role of the teacher in encouraging students and developing their confidence. A motivated learner is more likely to participate actively, practice English regularly, and overcome difficulties during the learning process.
