Abstract

In recent years, the use of innovative teaching methods has become increasingly important in English language education. One of these methods is gamification, which involves using game-like elements in a non-game educational environment. Gamification can make English lessons more engaging, interactive, and motivating for learners. It can be particularly effective in developing students’ vocabulary, grammar, speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. This article discusses the concept of gamification, its main benefits in English language teaching, practical classroom activities, and possible challenges. The article emphasizes that games should not simply be used for entertainment; instead, they should be carefully designed to support specific educational objectives.
