This article explores the theoretical foundations of terminology in Turkic linguistics, focusing on Kazakh linguistic studies. It emphasizes the role of Ahmet Baitursynov’s principles—reliance on national language resources, semantic accuracy, and clarity—in the development of modern terminology. The study also considers the contributions of prominent scholars to the formation of terminological theory and highlights the development of visual arts terminology, including the influence of new trends such as minimalism, photorealism, and pop art. The article discusses the challenges of adapting international terms into Turkic languages while maintaining their meaning and usability. It concludes that terminology should be viewed as a structured logical-semantic system ensuring precision in scientific communication.
