THE ROLE OF INTERJECTION, MODAL, AND ONOMATOPOEIC WORDS IN THE UZBEK LANGUAGE

Abstract

This article offers a comprehensive investigation of interjections, modal words, and onomatopoeic words in the Uzbek language, examining their functional, structural, and stylistic significance. Through a detailed analysis, the study elucidates the unique ways in which these word classes enrich spoken and written Uzbek. Interjections portray spontaneous emotions and reactions, modal words convey nuances of attitude, certainty, and possibility, while onomatopoeic words imitate real-life sounds, infusing liveliness and vivid imagery into language. By exploring their usage in both everyday speech and literary works, the article underscores these lexical elements’ pivotal role in reflecting Uzbek national character, oral traditions, and cultural transformation. Critical attention is given to historical development, grammatical features, lexical distinctions, and modern trends in textual incorporation.
