Translation serves as a bridge between languages and cultures, facilitating communication in an increasingly globalized world. However, translators frequently encounter linguocultural challenges due to differences in cultural values, traditions, historical experiences, and linguistic structures. This article examines the major linguocultural problems arising in the translation process and identifies effective strategies for overcoming them. Linguocultural competence is a crucial factor in achieving equivalence and preserving the communicative effect of the source text.
The findings reveal that successful translation requires not only linguistic competence but also deep intercultural awareness.
