Abstract

This study investigates the geochemical characteristics and elemental composition of technogenic wastes generated by the Angren Gold Processing Plant. Based on the results of ICP–MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry) and conventional chemical analyses, the concentrations of gold, silver, molybdenum, copper, selenium, bismuth, and other associated elements were determined. Clarke concentration coefficients were calculated to evaluate the degree of elemental enrichment relative to average crustal abundances. The results indicate significant accumulation of several elements within the technogenic wastes. Furthermore, the chemical composition of the technological samples demonstrates that the metallic components are predominantly associated with sulfide minerals.
