Abstract

This article examines effective methods of teaching formal letter writing to 7th–8th grade students in secondary schools. Formal letter writing is an important component of communicative competence and written communication skills. The study discusses the structure of formal letters, teaching strategies, classroom activities, and challenges faced by learners. The findings indicate that a communicative and practice-oriented approach significantly improves students’ ability to write formal letters accurately and appropriately.
