TERMS RELATED TO SUMMER SPORTS GAMES, SYNTACTICALLY CONSTRUCTED IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK

Abstract

This article explores the syntactic structures of summer sports terminology in English and Uzbek, highlighting the significance of specialized vocabulary in sports communication. Summer sports encompass a variety of activities such as athletics, swimming, and football, which promote physical fitness and social interaction. Terminology, defined as a collection of words pertinent to a specific field, plays a crucial role in effective communication among athletes, coaches, and fans. The article discusses how both languages utilize compound nouns and phrases, though their syntactic arrangements differ; for instance, adjectives typically precede nouns in English, while in Uzbek, nouns often come first. Furthermore, the evolving nature of sports terminology reflects the influence of global sports culture, with English terms frequently adopted into Uzbek. As globalization continues to impact sports culture, the development of vocabulary in both languages will reflect broader trends in communication and cross-cultural interactions.
