ANALYSIS OF THE WORK CARRIED OUT TO STRENGTHEN THE ROLE OF MAHALLAS IN THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF KASHKADARYA REGION

Abstract

This article analyzes the role of the mahalla institution in the socio-economic development of the Kashkadarya Region and examines the reforms implemented in this area. In particular, it highlights the measures carried out under the "Prosperous and Safe Mahalla" principle, aimed at addressing community problems, reducing poverty, promoting employment, supporting women and youth, developing entrepreneurship, preventing crime, and improving local infrastructure and living conditions. Furthermore, the article examines the measures implemented during 2021–2022 to enhance the effectiveness of citizens' self-government bodies, strengthen the material and technical capacity of mahallas, and improve the welfare of the population.
