Abstract

This article examines the development dynamics of electronic commerce (e-commerce) at both global and national levels, focusing on its profound impact on modern economic processes and macroeconomic stability. Drawing upon the latest statistical data from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and official metrics from Uzbekistan, the study evaluates the rapid expansion of e-commerce, the multiplication of digital trading platforms, and their tangible contributions to employment and fiscal revenue in Uzbekistan. Furthermore, through a comparative analysis of global GDP and e-commerce growth indices, the paper highlights the sector's unique resilience to economic shocks. Ultimately, strategic proposals and actionable recommendations are formulated to enhance digital infrastructure and boost the share of e-commerce in Uzbekistan's national retail trade.
