Abstract

Peripheral neuropathies in children remain one of the urgent problems of pediatric neurology due to a variety of etiological factors, clinical features, and the risk of developing persistent neurological deficits. One of the key links in the pathogenesis of peripheral neuropathies is a violation of the interaction of innate and adaptive immunity. A comprehensive assessment of the content of neuroinflammatory proteins (S100A), proinflammatory cytokines (IL-17A), interferons (IFN-α, IFN-γ), as well as autoantibodies to NF200 and the main protein of myelin allows us to more fully characterize the features of the immune response and identify potential biomarkers of the activity of the pathological process.
