Abstract

In criminal procedural law, the collection of evidence is one of the central elements that determine the effectiveness and fairness of criminal justice. The process of gathering evidence is not a mere mechanical activity, but a complex procedural institution that upholds the rule of law, protects individual rights, and ensures the legitimacy of criminal proceedings. In any criminal case, the presence, sufficiency, and credibility of evidence greatly impact the final decision. Because of this, legislatures around the world, as well as judicial practices, have developed detailed, strictly regulated methods and procedures for collecting evidence. The significance of evidence collection is not only in clarifying the circumstances of the case, but also in protecting the rights and interests of both the accused and the victim, maintaining procedural balance, and guaranteeing a just resolution of disputes.
