ANALYSIS OF THE QUALITY OF FIBER PRODUCED AT COTTON GINNING ENTERPRISES

This article analyzes the influence of the initial moisture content of raw cotton, drying regimes, and operational variants of dryers on the quality of fiber produced at cotton ginning enterprises. The research results demonstrate that, depending on the moisture content of raw cotton, breeding and industrial varieties, as well as drying methods, the fiber contamination level, mechanical damage, tensile strength, and length characteristics vary significantly. It was determined that even at identical initial moisture content, the number of defects and impurities in fiber differs under various drying variants. Furthermore, it was substantiated that selecting differential drying regimes while considering the thermo-moisture properties of breeding varieties is an important factor in improving fiber quality. The findings have scientific and practical significance for optimizing primary cotton processing technology and improving fiber quality management systems.
