CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE ANATOMICAL STRUCTURE AND FUNCTIONAL ZONES OF THE STOMACH

Abstract

This article examines the anatomical structure of the stomach, its main parts, and the morphofunctional characteristics of its functional zones. The secretory, motor, and endocrine functions of different gastric zones are analyzed, highlighting their clinical significance. Particular attention is paid to gastric diseases such as gastritis, peptic ulcer disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and gastric cancer, with emphasis on their zonal localization and pathogenesis. The importance of modern diagnostic methods, including endoscopy and targeted biopsy, is emphasized. The findings of this study are of significant scientific and practical value for medical students and healthcare professionals.
