Abstract

This article explores innovative methods for developing speaking skills in foreign language learning from a student-centered perspective. Speaking competence is widely recognized as a key component of communicative ability, especially in academic, professional, and intercultural contexts. However, many learners experience significant challenges, including fear of making mistakes, low confidence, and insufficient opportunities for real-life communication. The study examines a range of interactive and technology-supported strategies, such as role-playing, speeches, communicative language teaching, and online conversation platforms.

Particular attention is given to digital tools, including voice-recording applications, which allow learners to monitor their own progress and receive feedback. The findings demonstrate that these approaches create a supportive and engaging learning environment, encouraging active participation and reducing anxiety. Moreover, the integration of innovative methods enhances fluency, motivation, and cultural awareness. The article concludes that combining modern pedagogical strategies with a learner-centered approach significantly improves speaking skills and prepares students for authentic communication.
