DIGITALIZATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION: CONCEPT AND ELEMENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY ECOSYSTEM

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a defining trend in the development of modern higher education systems. This paper explores the conceptual foundations of digitalization in higher education and analyzes the structural elements of a university’s digital ecosystem. The study highlights the key components of the ecosystem – digital infrastructure, digital processes, and digital services – and examines their role in ensuring the sustainability, flexibility, and efficiency of the educational environment. The findings demonstrate that comprehensive digitalization enhances the competitiveness of universities, improves the quality of teaching and learning, and expands access to educational resources.
