Abstract

Anemia is a global health problem affecting more than 2 billion people worldwide. This scientific article analyzes the global prevalence of anemia, its various forms, main causes, and impact on global health indicators. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about 30% of the world's population suffers from anemia. The article provides a comparative analysis of statistical indicators of Uzbekistan and other countries. It has been shown that iron deficiency anemia accounts for more than 50% of global anemia cases, with pregnant women, children under 5 years of age, and women of reproductive age being the highest risk groups. Anemia negatively affects economic development, educational effectiveness, and labor productivity. The article presents preventive measures, treatment strategies, and recommendations for improving global health.
