Cultural and archaeological tourism has become an important field for entrepreneurship because it connects heritage preservation, local economic development, visitor experience, and cultural identity. Archaeological sites, museums, historic cities, monuments, cultural landscapes, and traditional communities create opportunities for small businesses, startups, tour operators, digital service providers, artisans, educators, and local entrepreneurs. This thesis examines entrepreneurship opportunities in cultural and archaeological tourism with a focus on sustainable business development. The study analyzes how heritage-based entrepreneurship can generate income without damaging cultural and archaeological value. It also discusses business opportunities such as guided tours, museum shops, cultural workshops, digital heritage platforms, local handicraft businesses, educational tourism, community-based tourism, and creative tourism services. UNESCO emphasizes that World Heritage tourism should create added tourist value based on heritage values and stakeholder cooperation, while ICOMOS highlights the importance of host community participation in heritage tourism planning and management. Therefore, entrepreneurship in archaeological tourism should not focus only on profit but should also support conservation, education, authenticity, and community benefit. The thesis argues that sustainable entrepreneurship can help cultural and archaeological destinations become economically stronger while protecting heritage resources for future generations.
