Abstract
Higher education is widely recognized as a fundamental driver of national development in the contemporary knowledge-based economy. It contributes to economic growth, social progress, technological innovation, and the formation of human capital. Universities and other higher education institutions serve as centers of knowledge creation, research, and professional training, enabling countries to enhance their competitiveness in the global arena. This article examines the role of the higher education system in national development, focusing on its contribution to human capital formation, economic advancement, scientific innovation, and social transformation.
