MOBILE APPLICATION-BASED METHODOLOGY FOR INDEPENDENT LEARNING OF NATIONAL MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS IN HIGHER MUSIC EDUCATION

This article presents a scientifically grounded methodology for enhancing the independent learning of national musical instruments particularly the dutor and Qashqar rubob through mobile application-based electronic educational resources in Uzbek higher music education. Drawing on constructivist learning theory, multimedia learning principles, and the requirements of Uzbekistan's Higher Attestation Commission (OAK), the study develops and validates a pedagogical model that integrates digital self-study tools with traditional instrument pedagogy. An experimental study involving 120 university students demonstrated statistically significant improvements in technical performance proficiency, self-regulated learning activity, and academic motivation in the experimental group compared to the control group (t = 4.94; p < 0.01). The findings confirm that mobile application-based independent study methodology can substantially improve learning outcomes in national instrument performance courses while preserving the authenticity of Uzbek musical heritage.
