THE ROLE OF INDEPENDENT LEARNING IN DEVELOPING STUDENTS' CREATIVE THINKING

Abstract

Independent learning, being one of the most vital tools for developing creative thinking of university students, has always been an integral part of the learning process. For many centuries it has been applied in many leading universities of the world as it has already shown its potential effects for developing student’s creative and critical thinking. This article briefly explains what is independent study, how it affects student’s critical and creative thinking and some strategies to foster independent learning for creativity.
