USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE DIGITAL ECONOMY

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital technologies has driven the expansion of the digital economy, where data and digital platforms are central to economic activity. Artificial intelligence (AI) plays a crucial role in this transformation by enhancing efficiency, productivity, and innovation across sectors. This thesis analyzes the use of AI in developing the digital economy, with a focus on key sectors in Uzbekistan. It identifies major opportunities as well as challenges related to infrastructure, skills, ethics, and regulation, concluding that strategic investment in human capital, digital infrastructure, and governance is essential for sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
