Abstract

This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the general physical descriptions of Jupiter and Saturn, the two largest planets in our Solar System. Classified as gas giants, both planets exhibit unique characteristics, including a lack of a solid surface and a composition predominantly made of hydrogen and helium. While Jupiter stands out due to its immense mass, rapid rotation, and violent atmospheric phenomena like the Great Red Spot, Saturn is universally recognized for its spectacular and complex ring system, as well as its remarkably low density. By comparing their mass, dimensions, atmospheric structures, and magnetic fields, this study highlights the fundamental physical similarities and distinct evolutionary differences between these two celestial giants.
