Abstract

This article covers the pedagogical, spiritual and didactic foundations of developing reading culture in students in the process of teaching literature in higher educational institutions. It also analyzes the role of reading culture in the intellectual, moral and aesthetic development of the student's personality, and reveals the possibilities of literature in the modern educational process. The article presents effective methods for developing reading culture and scientific conclusions on their application in educational practice.
