STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF STABILIZERS ON THE THERMAL DEGRADATION OF RECYCLED POLYURETHANE MATERIALS
Abstract
Polyurethanes are synthetic polymers characterized by high mechanical strength, elasticity, and chemical resistance. Therefore, they are widely used in the automotive, construction, electrical engineering, oil and gas, and household appliance industries. The macromolecular structure of polyurethanes contains the –NH–CO–O– urethane group, and their physicomechanical and thermal properties depend primarily on these functional groups and the structure of the polymer chain. However, prolonged exposure to high temperatures causes polyurethane materials to undergo thermal degradation, resulting in a decrease in mechanical strength and deterioration of their performance characteristics. Therefore, improving the thermal resistance of recycled polyurethane materials is of significant scientific and practical importance
