Abstract

Corrosion of metals continues to pose significant challenges in industrial and technological applications, leading to material degradation, increased maintenance costs, and potential safety hazards. Protective coatings are widely employed to mitigate these effects, extending the service life of metals and improving overall performance. Traditional coatings often rely on complex chemical formulations that may have limited environmental compatibility or reduced effectiveness under harsh conditions.Ethanolamine, a multifunctional organic compound, has attracted attention as a promising additive in metal coatings. Its chemical structure allows it to interact with metal surfaces, enhance adhesion, and contribute to the formation of protective layers that resist corrosive agents.
