Abstract

This research provides comprehensive analysis of the pathogenetic mechanisms underlying postnatal metabolic adaptation processes in low birth weight infants. The study examines intrauterine malnutrition effects on the fetus, epigenetic programming, insulin resistance development, disruption of lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, hormonal dysregulation, and prognostic criteria for long-term metabolic outcomes. The findings establish a foundation for developing targeted nutritional support strategies during the neonatal period.
