Abstract

Chronic cerebral ischemia represents a pathological condition characterized by functional and morphological changes in neuronal structures resulting from prolonged insufficiency of cerebral blood circulation. This disease is primarily associated with arterial hypertension, atherosclerosis, diabetes mellitus, and cardiovascular diseases, occurring most frequently in the aging population. The clinical course of chronic cerebral ischemia presents diagnostic challenges due to its gradual development and vague symptomatology in initial stages, making early diagnosis particularly complex.
