Epidemiological monitoring of waterborne and foodborne infections represents a critical public health strategy for early detection, prevention, and control of infectious disease outbreaks. This thesis examines contemporary surveillance methodologies, including laboratory diagnostics, molecular typing systems, and integrated data management platforms that enable rapid identification of contamination sources and transmission pathways. The research demonstrates that comprehensive monitoring programs combining traditional epidemiological investigation with advanced molecular technologies significantly enhance outbreak response capabilities and reduce morbidity rates in affected populations.
