Abstract

This study examines how social hierarchy identity, and liminality are shown in Mowgli’s character in The Jungle Book. Mowgli lives between the animal world and the human world, which makes his identity complex. The research shows that Mowgli represents a person who does not fully belong to one group and must find his place between two different societies.
