Abstract

Stylistics is a significant branch of linguistics that focuses on the study of language style and its functional use in both spoken and written discourse. It serves as a bridge between linguistics and literary criticism by providing analytical tools to examine how linguistic choices contribute to meaning, aesthetic value, and communicative intent. This article explores the theoretical foundations of stylistics, its main types, and its role in linguistic and literary analysis. Special attention is given to the relationship between stylistics and other linguistic disciplines, as well as the importance of stylistic analysis in understanding literary texts. The study highlights how stylistics enhances the interpretation of texts by examining phonological, lexical, syntactic, and semantic features. The article concludes that stylistics plays a crucial role in developing critical reading skills and deepening comprehension of both literary and non-literary texts.
