INNOVATIVE APPLICATIONS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN KOREAN LANGUAGE TEACHING

Abstract

This article examines the innovative applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in Korean language teaching and learning. The study explores how AI-powered technologies, including intelligent tutoring systems, chatbots, speech recognition software, machine translation tools, and adaptive learning platforms, contribute to the improvement of language acquisition. Particular attention is given to the role of AI in developing learners’ communicative competence, pronunciation accuracy, vocabulary acquisition, and grammatical proficiency. The article also discusses the pedagogical advantages of AI, such as personalized learning, instant feedback, increased learner autonomy, and enhanced motivation. Furthermore, it highlights the challenges associated with the integration of AI technologies in Korean language education, including ethical concerns, data privacy issues, and the need for teacher training.
