Abstract

The development of students’ linguistic and communicative competence remains one of the central objectives of modern language education. In recent years, interactive teaching methods have gained considerable attention due to their ability to promote active participation, collaborative learning, and meaningful communication. The purpose of this study is to investigate the potential of interactive methods in enhancing students’ linguistic and communicative competence. The research is based on the analysis of contemporary pedagogical literature, including studies indexed in Google Scholar and Scopus databases, as well as current approaches to communicative language teaching. The findings demonstrate that interactive methods such as role-playing, group discussions, project-based learning, brainstorming, and digital learning platforms significantly contribute to the development of vocabulary, grammar proficiency, speaking skills, and communicative confidence. Furthermore, these methods foster critical thinking, learner autonomy, and intercultural communication skills. The study concludes that the systematic integration of interactive methods into language instruction creates a learner-centered environment and improves the overall effectiveness of language acquisition. The results may be useful for language teachers, curriculum developers, and educational researchers seeking innovative approaches to competence-based education.
