The article examines the role of Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) in developing English language competence among learners. Special attention is paid to the theoretical foundations of task-based instruction, the implementation of communicative tasks, and their contribution to language acquisition. The study highlights that TBLT creates learner-centered environments that encourage active participation, meaningful communication, and real-life language use. The findings indicate that task-based learning contributes significantly to the development of linguistic, sociolinguistic, discourse, and strategic competences while simultaneously fostering critical thinking, learner autonomy, and problem-solving skills. Furthermore, the integration of authentic tasks into English language instruction significantly enhances learners’ motivation, communicative abilities, and overall academic achievement.
