Abstract

Odontogenic inflammatory diseases remain a major challenge in maxillofacial surgery because of the risk of systemic inflammatory response, sepsis, and multiple organ dysfunction. This study evaluated prognostic markers and preventive approaches for reducing distant organ complications. Clinical, laboratory, microbiological, and immunological data from 91 patients were analyzed. The implementation of the AIDOS prognostic algorithm improved risk stratification, reduced septic complications, shortened hospital stay, and decreased mortality.
