Abstract

This article analyzes the essence of legal nihilism, its social causes and its negative influence on youth worldview. Legal nihilism is interpreted as distrust of law and legal institutions, devaluation of legal norms, preference for informal practices over legal mechanisms and weakening of civic responsibility. The article argues that legal nihilism among young people is caused by insufficient legal literacy, a sense of social injustice, tolerance toward corruption, manipulative influences in the digital information environment and weak coordination between educational institutions, family and society. The study emphasizes the importance of legal education, constitutional values, transparent governance, public control and youth civic engagement in preventing legal nihilism.
