Abstract

This article discusses one of the most important problems of modern surgery, postoperative infections, their causes, mechanisms of development, impact on patient health, and preventive measures. The importance of observing the rules of asepsis and antiseptics in surgical procedures, the emergence of antibiotic-resistant microorganisms, and ways to eliminate this problem are also analyzed.
