Abstract

Repeated suicidal behavior after a previous suicide attempt is one of the most serious clinical and social problems in modern psychiatry. Patients who have experienced a suicidal crisis often remain vulnerable even after the acute condition has been stabilized. Therefore, prevention should not be limited only to emergency medical care, but must include long-term observation, psychological assessment, correction of emotional disorders and strengthening of social support. Early identification of risk factors, such as depressive symptoms, anxiety, previous psychological trauma, social isolation, family conflicts, substance abuse and low treatment adherence, is essential for reducing the probability of recurrence.
