Abstract

This thesis provides a detailed review of the prognostic significance of metabolic syndrome components, inflammatory biomarkers (CRP, IL-6, TNF-α), and vascular elasticity indices, assessed via pulse wave velocity, in the development of ischemic heart disease (IHD). Molecular mechanisms and approaches to improving an integral risk model are discussed based on current literature.
