USING DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES TO IMPROVE ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS

Abstract

This article examines the role of digital technologies in improving English language skills in modern educational settings. The study analyzes the effectiveness of digital tools such as learning management systems, mobile applications, artificial intelligence, multimedia resources, gamification, and virtual learning platforms in developing learners' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The research highlights that technology-enhanced language learning increases students' motivation, engagement, autonomy, and academic achievement while supporting personalized and collaborative learning. The paper also identifies the major challenges associated with the integration of digital technologies, including inadequate digital infrastructure, insufficient teacher training, and unequal access to technological resources. Finally, practical recommendations are proposed for educators and educational institutions to promote effective technology-enhanced English language teaching.
